Tapping, clapping and finger tracing

 Feb 08 2024

When we start to prepare a class we need to also consider the techniques we would like to put in practice, in this case we will talk about three techniques that can help us in an ESL class, we can have techniques as tapping, clapping, and tracing our finger. In this post we will check about clapping. Whe we use clapping we require our student to clap at the time they are practicing syllabus. For example, we request our students to choose a word and clap for each syllabus. This makes our students to better retain how to pronouns a word for instance or the intonation of it.

We also need to identify how to use clapping in a class. During the process to create a class we can encounter that creating a class cannot be as easy as we think, and if we have already chosen a technique that we would like to apply, this can be even harder since we need to adapt this technique with the class, and ensure that at the end of the class we will achieve our goal.

As we could see, we can take advantage of different techniques when we are planning a class, however, we need to be careful at the time we decide to apply a technique, since no all the topic we can work with all the techniques, in this case we notice that clapping is a technique that works perfectly with pronunciation classes.
